The work charts the fragility and the age of silence. What is the difference between wordless, voiceless, soundless, speechless, and noiseless?
The work integrates photographs of tree barks for performers to interpret as harmony and timbre. Field recording documents the quotidian soundscape by the Sumida River in Tokyo, Japan.
