Hello everyone, my name is Akari Komura (she/her) and I am originally from Tokyo, Japan.

I am currently based in California studying Ph.D. in music composition at UC San Diego.

I like thinking, writing, and imagining about our sonic environment.

I am interested in composing scores that are invitational, sensorial, and contemplative.

I am interested in curating a contemplative performance space for listening and soundmaking.

I am interested in inviting a community of performers and listeners into a collective and ritualistic experience.
